The Old Town setting is convenient, and the railway station is an easy 9-minute walk away. The tradeoff was hearing loud tourists pass our windows more often than we wanted. Reception were exceptionally polite, friendly, and charming. My single room was genuinely a single, rather than a double made up for one, and it was larger than average, though the bathroom was a little cramped. Breakfast was excellent for a 3-star hotel, with omelette, fried bacon, and sausages.

We were able to get breakfast early enough to eat before catching the Bernina Express, and it was one of the best breakfasts we’ve had. We stayed in November; the hotel was easy to reach on foot from the train station, and the staff were friendly and helpful. A very good place, and we’d come back.

The view from our room was the highlight, and the staff were friendly. We spent two nights at this Chur hotel, where breakfast and cleanliness were both very good. The downside for us was the lack of parking.

The reception team were attentive and very friendly, and breakfast service was just as welcoming. Our room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The hotel sits right in central Chur, about a 10-minute walk from the train station. A lovely stay in a charming city.

Ambiente Chur is very close to the railway and downtown, and we were especially impressed by how much care the friendly staff put into the details. We had a beautiful room with good-sized twin beds, fresh clean linen, a clean walk-in shower, and a great view. Breakfast was an excellent full spread, with eggs, sausages, bacon, and other international options. We’d gladly consider staying again, and recommend it to anyone coming to chur on the Bernina express.
