Hotel Krone Churwalden

We were pleasantly surprised by how good the value was. The rooms were clean and nicely renovated, and the kids' playroom had quality equipment. Service was friendly and the location worked well, with the Post Auto stop three minutes away and the cable cars within walking distance. The whole stay was a positive experience. I expected the usual and not much more, but the team worked well together. The renovation uses quality materials without being flashy, just right. Management must be doing something well if the staff seem so committed even when the boss or owner isn’t watching. I’d definitely recommend it and will be back.

The ski setup made things easy, with underground parking and a useful ski room that even has a service bench. We were in the family room and had a great stay. The lift is under a five-minute walk away, and there’s a nice spa, a kids’ room beside the bar, a good restaurant, and really friendly staff. Great value all around.

The views around the hotel are lovely, and it’s very quiet. I had a ground-floor room with a door straight outside, plus a big parking area. The bed and pillows were soft and comfortable. Breakfast was just okay. One thing to keep in mind: the road up can be tricky at night if you’re not used to Swiss roads.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Krone, with a great atmosphere and comfort for the price. We’d happily come back, whether for a short break or longer.
