I love the food here.

It's good.

The atmosphere is welcoming, peaceful, and friendly, and I highly recommend it. You can get the best perch fillets in the canton of Neuchâtel here, along with plenty of other delicious dishes, including seasonal game specialties.

The welcome was very warm, and I liked the pleasant place and chalet decor. There are several interesting choices on the à la carte menu. The prices seem high at first, especially since a salad isn't included with the meat cooked on a slate. At 46.- for fillet steak and fries, having to order a salad separately feels odd, and it's the same for ribeye or steak. The fillet itself was tender, not too sinewy, and came with some very good little sauces, but it was a tiny portion, 150-180g at most. It tasted good, but cost a lot and didn't fill me up much. The fries helped fill the gap. My neighbors had the same experience, so this doesn't seem like an isolated case but the usual portion. At roughly 46.- plus 5.- for fries, that works out to around 230.- per kg of meat. Sure, there are expenses and wages to cover, or maybe I'm not the right customer. Too bad.
