Alaia Lodge

The cleanliness and location are great, but that’s about the only good thing. I’m writing this while my children and I are trying to sleep after a long, tiring day. The noise from the restaurants and bar keeps getting louder, and we can’t sleep. I deeply regret booking here and wish we could go home. This is unacceptable for a family-oriented hotel.

Alaia Lodge was just as described and looked like the pictures: modern, spacious, clean, and functional rooms. There’s a kettle, though no fridge, and free private parking behind the hotel. We had breakfast at the hotel on Day 1, then went to nearby Boulangerie Taillens on Day 2 for delicious pancakes, eggs, fresh juices, and pastries. I’d definitely recommend it.

It’s a lovely spot, less than a five-minute walk from the ski lift and town, with comfortable rooms. We enjoyed the breakfast and restaurant decor, and couldn’t fault the place. Free parking and an electric car charger right beside it were a nice bonus.

The beds are fantastic, the showers are nice, and the staff are friendly. The hotel has a good vibe and free parking behind the building. There’s also a ski room for drying ski boots, but space is very limited if you get back later than the other guests. Breakfast, served from 7am to 10am, was a letdown. The selection was limited and the quality felt poor, like cheap products. The staff seemed unmotivated to restock properly, and by 9am some guests left without eating because the ham, cheese, and croissants were gone.
