They even let us back into the room after checkout so we could shower after a day of mountain biking before the drive home. That kindness, along with the friendly staff, made a big difference. The room had lots of hooks and storage, a proper double bed and duvet, and a lovely balcony facing the mountains where we sat in the evening. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and we had a great weekend.

I really liked the 70s feel inside, and the breakfast was great. It’s a short walk to the ski lifts, bus stop, shops and the nearby cheap kebab place. The staff were helpful and happy to chat, especially Victor.

My room was extremely hot, so I had to leave the balcony door open the whole time, while friends of mine said their rooms were too cold. There was no working elevator, and hauling our luggage up two flights of stairs was stressful. Breakfast options were quite limited, and the nearest shop and restaurant were a 15 to 20-minute walk away.

We went to hotel de la foret for four nights in February just to ski, so we mainly wanted a comfortable room, somewhere to keep our equipment and a nice breakfast. We got more than we expected. The room was warm and cosy with a spectacular view, and the service was friendly and helpful. The walk up to the ski lift is a bit uphill, but there’s a free shuttle that stops outside and takes one minute to get there. I’d definitely recommend it for an affordable, comfortable stay in Crans Montana.

We really enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to coming back. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, breakfast had lots of variety and was delicious, and the staff were friendly. This family hotel in Crans-Montana is fantastic, and being right next to the ski slopes was very convenient.
