Really good.

We had a very friendly, professional evening, from the owner's welcome to the waitress's warm goodbye. The manager was gardening when we arrived and greeted us with a big smile. She didn't take offense when we said the menu prices didn't suit us, and explained that the more affordable summer menu had just started. We ordered salmon tartare, turkey escalope, grilled pineapple dessert, and cha cha cha ice cream, plus a liter of sparkling water, for CHF 81.00. The restaurant is near the city but also on its outskirts, with an unobstructed view of Sierre. It's wheelchair accessible, though you may need to rely on your companion's strength. I'd recommend this grill restaurant: there are meat specialties served on slate platters if you want to indulge, and a seasonal menu for a more substantial meal.

The beef on a slate was excellent, and the service was superb. We were welcomed so warmly, and the staff were helpful and friendly throughout.

The dining room was so cold I kept my jacket on and skipped dessert. When I mentioned the temperature to the sommelier, he said, "That's true, I dress accordingly." No apology or kind gesture followed. The meal wasn't much better: the ribeye with morels was okay and came with plenty of mushrooms, but the sauce was mediocre, the rösti uninteresting, and the vegetables overcooked. It was expensive, too. The setting is pretty, though the decor feels a bit dreary. I went once, and won't be back.
