Barga Studios & Apartments

Barga Studios & Apartments is a small, self-catering place on a quiet residential street just off the Promenade in Davos Dorf. With six units and no reception, it suits couples, families or solo travelers who want privacy and a practical home base. The studios and one or two-bedroom apartments are spacious, bright and furnished in a modern alpine style. Each has a kitchen with a stove, oven, fridge and coffee machine, a dining table, comfortable bed or beds, and an ensuite bathroom. Most have a bathtub or walk-in shower, some have a separate WC, and a few offer a balcony or garden access. There’s no daily housekeeping, but the units are spotless and well kept. Dishwashers and ski storage depend on the unit. You can walk to shops, restaurants, lifts and bus stops from Horlaubenstrasse. The Promenade, with its bakeries, cafes and rental shops, is just around the corner. Davos Dorf station is about 10 minutes away on foot, and the Congress Centre is easy to reach. The Parsennbahn cable car is less than a 10-minute walk, with access to ski areas and mountain hikes. Lake Davos, the golf course and biking trails are nearby in summer, as are the Eau-là-là spa and the Kirchner and Heimatmuseum museums. It’s a handy base for sports, events or relaxing, and you can get around without a car. Underground parking is available on request. There’s no staff onsite, but check-in is handled by keybox with instructions sent before arrival. Each unit has its own entrance and lockable door. The building also has areas for drying ski gear and storing bikes. The neighborhood is quiet and access is controlled, which made the place feel safe. The owners are easy to reach by phone or message and respond before and during the stay. The kitchens let you prepare full meals, including breakfast and dinner, and each unit has a small dining area. If you’d rather eat out, there are Swiss and international restaurants and takeaways a short walk away. Supermarkets are close by too. Free Wi-Fi, storage for ski gear, and balconies or terraces in some apartments are useful extras. Families and longer stays can also make use of laundry facilities. It’s not a luxury stay, but the units are clean, comfortable and convenient.
