We came for a Davos conference and stayed from September 4th to 7th. The rooms were nicely furnished, though the outlets weren’t convenient and there was no kettle. Breakfast was modest but served well. The location worked well, near the station, supermarket, and bus stop. The bigger issue was getting documents for a business trip refund. The reception desk was empty much of the day, and although self check-in might suit tourists, we didn’t ask for the paperwork immediately. Staff then seemed to be absent, our emails had gone unanswered for a long time, and by phone we were told the manager was on vacation or something and they couldn’t help. We still don’t have the documents. I’m writing this in the hope customer service improves. The Wi-Fi was unstable with a weak signal. Some rooms face a busy street and get noisy at rush hour. In my room the reading lamps wouldn’t work with the main light off, which was very annoying. I tried different combinations and outlets.

We were very happy with our stay. The staff were kind, and the place was quiet and clean. The rooms are simple, but perfectly good, as is the bathroom. Breakfast buffet was good, and so was the Cappuccino.

A good, straightforward B&B: simple rooms, no extra frills, and a very reasonable price. The woman at reception also handled breakfast and really went out of her way. I had a 7am train and would have missed breakfast at its normal 7am start, so she got up early and fed me at 6:20. Thanks!

My friends and I booked well ahead through Booking for a ski weekend at the Bernina Hotel in Davos, reserving for 10 people. We even phoned shortly before arriving to confirm. When the first couple got there, staff seemed unaware of the booking. After a long wait, that couple was given a room, but the other eight of us had nowhere to stay. We had confirmation and proof, and had spoken with the hotel by phone, yet they said they couldn’t find or confirm the reservation. We had to scramble for other accommodation, which cost more. The manager, Mario, first said he’d find a suitable alternative but didn’t follow through. The hotel also promised to reimburse our extra costs, but we’ve had no reply to our emails and no compensation. The whole experience was extremely disappointing. I’d urge anyone considering this hotel to reconsider. Even one star feels too generous.
