Kessler's Kulm Hotel

The rooftop spa was wonderful after a day of hiking, and it's easy to take the dogs out for a quick walk nearby. This is a very dog-friendly hotel, where dogs are welcomed like visiting royalty ;-) Breakfast was nice and dinner was good quality. The staff are amazingly friendly, and you can feel the family atmosphere. It seems the owner family values their staff and treats them fairly and well. I took off one star for the setting between the railway tracks and a busy pass road. The hotel can't change that, but I found it a bit irritating when we arrived. It's a minor hiccup, though, and I'd definitely visit again.

It's a great value hotel, friendly and convenient. You can even pick up your ski pass there.

We were given tokens for free bus rides into Davos when we arrived, though we decided to drive. That worked out well since Davos is basically closed in the off-season. We stayed in a guesthouse room just outside Davos itself, in Davos-Wolfgang. It wasn't as grand as a hotel room, but it did the job, with a comfortable bed and a very clean room. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced, and Karin made the meal even better with her wonderful service. Breakfast was very good too.

The wellness area was outstanding, with several saunas, relaxation rooms, and a whirlpool overlooking the mountains. We stayed in a budget room in the guesthouse across the street, which was great and gave us no complaints. The main house has recently updated, beautiful rooms with all wood panels, so next time we'll stay there. Kessler's Kulm is a lovely family-run hotel, with friendly service and a great breakfast, which we really enjoyed.
