Zentrum Haus Davos

The mountain views are panoramic, and the atmosphere in the shared spaces is relaxed. Zentrum Haus Davos is in a historic building and makes for a clean, practical stay at a budget friendly price. It's a self catering inn, just a few minutes on foot from the Congress Centre and Jakobshorn lift. A convenient option for families, student groups, or solo travelers looking for value.

The kindness of the man working there made a big difference. He went out of his way to make me feel welcome, and the staff provide snacks and hot drinks with real thoughtfulness. I expected very little because the hostel was so inexpensive, but I came away pleasantly surprised. My room in central Davos was clean and warm, the bathroom was heated too, and I slept well. They kept my luggage during the day for free. I also think it's lovely that the room money goes to sick children.

The hotel was basic, but the location was good. We had asked about parking and thought it was settled, then arrived to find there was no space for us. We ended up having to park in Davos village. The guy was rude and wouldn't listen, just said, "yes, but I don't have a parking". He only spoke English and seemed not to care about us. Don't expect help if you go, and be ready to pay. The guests' well-being doesn't seem to be considered.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The room was a good size, with a balcony looking out over Davos, and the kitchen had tea, coffee, cakes, and cereal at no extra cost. There was plenty of seating and a nice atmosphere. The hostel is easy to reach, with a supermarket nearby, though it's outside the town centre. It's basic and a little dated inside, but that gave it some character. Very clean, too.
