Hotel Drei Könige

We only skimmed the online guest directory, so it wasn't until after breakfast on Sunday that we realized you could order dishes from the kitchen. Nobody mentioned it, and there was nothing about it in the dining area, so here's a heads up. Our room was nice, though it warmed up during the day. We used the AC and left the folding doors open pretty late. People yelling drunk in the streets both nights was outside the hotel's control, as were the church bells, which rang alarmingly loud and long 😅 We'll test some noise cancellors before booking again 😂 We had a great weekend here while walking the Stoos ridge. Ina?/Isa? welcomed us so warmly it felt like meeting friends again. The food was really good, and we had to try the Drei Könige rösti. I wouldn't have guessed pinot grigio would go with tenderloin, but I'm glad I followed the recommendation. Einsiedeln village is well worth visiting, and this is a great hotel.

I had dinner with my family at the restaurant this evening. I was the only non-Swiss person and the only person of color, and the waiter was rude to me alone. It made for an unpleasant evening. I was speaking German and can understand Swiss German. My husband also noticed the difference in how I was treated. It's unfortunate that, instead of acknowledging my experience and addressing it with the employee, you seem set on defending him. This is honest feedback, and I hope the team takes it on board.

I went for the sauna only, without staying overnight, and really enjoyed it. The view of the monastery is amazing. The sauna isn't huge, but it's just the right size for the hotel. Reception staff were very friendly. I'll consider staying next time, and I'll definitely visit again. 100% recommend :)
