The spa was a real highlight, and there was a ski bus right outside the entrance. We had a wonderful ski holiday here. The hotel and rooms were spotless, and breakfast was fresh with a good range of choices. The staff were so kind, even helping us plan which ski areas to visit based on the weather. It’s a little way out from the village, but the room had a really nice view. I’d definitely recommend staying here 😊

We’ve stayed twice and will definitely do it again. My only gripe is the pillows, though that’s just personal preference. A Nespresso machine or similar, plus a kettle in the room, would make it perfect.

The reception team were very organized and went out of their way to help us. The hotel is outside the center, but the free shuttle buses make that no problem. After a day working out in the mountains, we really appreciated the clean, larger-than-average spa and pool, which stayed open for long hours. There are also nice extra lounges for relaxing with friends, and a great playroom for anyone traveling with small children. Breakfast was fresh, though fairly basic and a bit dull. The ski equipment changing room could use some benches to sit on. Across the street, the restaurant kept us waiting more than an hour for our order. They explained why, but that’s still an unacceptable wait.

Our young child would have been perfectly happy staying at the hotel all day. The playground, playroom, and pool were excellent, and the playground was one of the best I’ve seen anywhere. Alpenresort Eienwäldli also made a great base for Engelberg. An easy bus ride gets you to many hikes, the gondola, the train, and more. The staff were lovely, kind, and helpful. It really felt like the owners care about their guests. I can’t recommend it enough.

The amenities were well kept and added a lot to our stay, though I would have liked more variety at the breakfast buffet. The location gives you beautiful views and easy access to different activities. Staff were incredibly attentive, quick to respond to requests, and genuinely eager to help make everyone comfortable.
