We got good value for what we paid, especially for Switzerland. The owner and staff were friendly and attentive, and the room and bathroom were spotless. The shower had good pressure and warm water, and the toiletries were decent, they didn’t leave my hair feeling stripped of all its natural oil. This small family run hotel had everything we needed for two nights in Engelberg. We were a few minutes’ walk from the train station, and the ski bus stopped right at the hotel. Our small twin room was on the snug side, but there was enough space and a balcony. The pillows could have been puffier. We didn’t get a chance to try the Spa downstairs. Breakfast was simple Swiss fare, and we ate enough to keep us going until lunch.

Our room had a lovely little patio, and breakfast was delicious. The owners and staff were wonderfully kind and helpful. It felt more like a bed and breakfast. Can’t wait to return!

The hotel doesn’t have air conditioning, which makes sense in Engelberg’s generally cool summer weather, but at times the rooms still felt warm and stuffy. Electric fans in the rooms would be a welcome addition. Larger tour groups can also make the small hotel feel crowded, especially at check-in or breakfast. Still, Belmont Hotel was a memorable part of our Europe trip with MakeMyTrip. The family-owned place felt cozy, clean, and well maintained, with a warm, personal touch. It seems best suited to couples or small families looking for a quiet Alpine break. The setting and location are hard to beat, with beautiful Swiss Alps scenery all around. The drive there, with majestic mountains and snow-dusted peaks, had already set the mood. We could walk to restaurants, shops, banks, ATMs, the train station, and the Mount Titlis cable car station. The hospitality, peaceful Alpine atmosphere, and scenery made it a highlight of our time in Switzerland. I’d highly recommend Belmont Hotel to visitors looking for comfort, convenience, and unforgettable views.

We arrived very late after a long drive, and the owner had left us the key and check-in form. We filled it in and went straight to bed. I’ve never seen such trusting behavior anywhere in the world! The stay was comfortable, quiet, and relaxing, and nothing beats the balcony view in the morning. The hotel’s location is incredible, with a beautiful morning view. The owners, who manage the hotel, were extremely helpful. Breakfast is included, with a few options to choose from. The owner said it’s cheaper to book through their website next time than through a third-party travel agency. Absolutely wonderful, highly recommended.
