Titlis Resort

The kitchen was so well equipped I’d give it five stars, but the furnishings let the place down. The style is minimalist, and I wasn’t expecting luxury at that price, but the worn armchairs and chairs were simply sad to see left for guests. There were no bedspreads either, and the sofas had cheap cushions that didn’t match at all. I won’t return.

We were eight people in a three-bedroom apartment, and the double sofa bed made it work well. The kitchen had a decent range of utensils, so we cooked quite a few times. There was good space in the bedrooms, kitchen, and lounge and dining areas, and it’s a quick walk into town. We enjoyed our stay.

The service was really nice, and the location is great. It may be a little far from the town center, but it’s closer to the lifts. You can’t have both!

The beds made it hard to sleep: the mattresses were worn out, and the pillows gave no support. Noise in the evenings was unbearable too, with loud music or people shouting, so relaxing on the balcony or getting a good night’s sleep was impossible. There was no real peace and quiet for a holiday. The apartment was already unclean when we arrived, and reception only added to the disappointment. The welcome felt unprofessional and unhelpful, as if guests were a nuisance. Calling this place a “resort” is misleading. It felt more like an upgraded bungalow park, not somewhere that deserves that label. This wasn’t the relaxing trip we’d hoped for, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
