There’s plenty of parking, and the place is well kept and feels comfortable, almost like home. It’s easy to reach from the main roads, though the road is under construction at the moment. The indoor and outdoor seating are both handy, and there’s a large conference room, a medium-sized meeting room and shared office space.

I could settle in quickly after moving from the UK to Switzerland, and Ermatingerhof was a big part of that. Patricia is friendly and helpful, and arranging a room was simple. Practical advice from the people in the house helped me manage Swiss bureaucracy and other everyday things, so I was able to get set up in no time. There’s room to keep to yourself or chat with others while cooking and eating, with no pressure to socialize. The house is quiet and clean, with convenient parking behind it and plenty of shared space indoors and out. It’s in a great spot with good infrastructure, just a short walk from beautiful Lake Constance. Kreuzlingen and Konstanz are close by for shopping. My room had an en-suite bathroom, comfortable furnishings and tasteful neutral decor. A few of my own things made it feel like home straight away. Ermatingerhof was an enjoyable place to work and live, and made my start here much easier.

I’ve been here for eight months, and the neighbors all know one another and get along well. The price feels fair for what you get. Mrs. Kastner, the owner, is a very kind and friendly landlady, and the housekeeper is a delight. She decorates the place with care twice a week and is great at keeping it clean. The location works really well for me: the train station and supermarket are only a five-minute walk away, and the public swimming pool is easy to reach on foot. I’ve had a wonderful time in Ermatingen.
