The location near Stein am Rhein is convenient, but if you're driving, you may find better quality a little farther away. People were generally kind, though the place felt more like a restaurant with rooms than a proper hotel. There wasn't a real reception, the bathroom was basic for the price, the room smelled damp, and the bed was very uncomfortable. For what it costs, the value is low. The breakfast staff were the most professional and made the best impression.

We had a Christmas dinner celebration for our practice here and really loved it. The place was tastefully decorated, and our whole team of around 35 had a cozy get together. The service was excellent, and the family run establishment had friendly staff. Well done, and keep up the good work!

Our hostess was so attentive, even taking our laundry, washing it, and leaving it in the room at no extra charge. We communicated with a few words of her English and my German. The room is spacious and airy, the beds are comfortable, and the old rural inn, in a building from 1740, has been updated inside. Breakfast is typical for Switzerland, with boiled eggs on request, cold cuts, fruit, yogurt, delicious breads, and a range of drinks. The downsides were no air conditioning, no window screens, and no hand soap.
