Hotel du Glacier

The meals were great, with both dinners very good, and the restaurant has a nice little bar where you can relax before dinner over a couple of beers on tap. The outside patio was comfortable too, and the wifi reached our room well. We had a great two-night stay. Our room was clean, and the small balcony was a lovely place to sit and take in the mountain views. The staff were great. We couldn't book in our next town because we don't speak French, but they helped us sort it out. Very kind of them. I'd highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Arolla.

The food was very good, especially breakfast. It's a traditional chalet-style hotel, very clean and well maintained, though the decor is a little old-fashioned.

The mountain view right in front of the house is lovely, and you can see it through the windows. The little houses have nice decorations and wooden showers. Inside, the restaurant feels compact and traditional, and the food was decent. The staff were wonderful, though most spoke French and only a little English. Breakfast was okay, just not especially impressive. Five stars from me.

We left full and very satisfied, after a meal that ranks among our most memorable in Switzerland. Get the beef Bourgignon fondue, and pair it with a rich Swiss red. The cozy restaurant has a lovely Swiss alpine feel, and the service was helpful and fun. Save room for the freshly made fruit tarts, too.
