Hotel Ristorante Elvezia

Great Wi-Fi and fantastic service.

After driving for 15 hours, we arrived outside the hotel at 2 AM, worn out and expecting only a place to sleep. We'd clearly agreed on the arrangements with the host, but were told it was “technically impossible” to let us in. That's completely unacceptable. Confirming a booking and then being unable to accommodate guests at the agreed time shows a serious lack of professionalism and responsibility. Leaving people stranded in the middle of the night after such a long drive was deeply disrespectful.

Check-in and check-out are both simple, with electronic systems, as is the reception. Ricki is a good boy. You can always start with the official check-in, and the dishes served at the same time are good quality. The setup is flexible and functional too. Unfortunately, the bed is very small and uncomfortable.

The private bathroom had everything needed, and the shared kitchen's coffee machine was a nice bonus. Rooms are simple and clean. The self-service key collection is handy if you arrive late, and the location is convenient near the Gotthard Pass and the highway.
