We picked this three-star hotel because the photos made it look decent for the price, but breakfast was a letdown: stale croissants, cappuccino with no milk, and a waiter who only stared at us, without even saying hello. The dining room felt like a big, bland, cold and soulless youth hostel. The room was spacious, simple, and clean, but the door was thin, the windows and curtains were dirty, and the only balcony chair was broken. The tiny bathroom was dark and extremely old. Its door opened inward and couldn't fully open, so getting in meant contorting myself. Missing tiles exposed mold everywhere. There were no toothbrush glasses, or any glasses at all, and the toilet kept running for five minutes after flushing. The elevator was out of order, so we used the stairs. The carpet was filthy and worn out. At reception, the man behind the desk answered our greeting in Italian with “ciao.” We continued in Swiss German, though our language is French, but he kept speaking Italian and couldn't manage the local language. He also couldn't find our reservation and eventually gave us the room of another guest with the same first name. The reception was terrible.

I've travelled to many countries and never stayed in a hotel this bad. The whole place smelled, and the corridor carpet was filthy. The lift didn't work, so we had to carry our things up to the second floor. We were told our room number was 200, but there was only room 2, not 200.

The only good thing we can say is that the hotel is close to Fiesch Bergbahnen. We hoped for a fun ski weekend, but after two nights we cancelled the last one and left early for several reasons. Staff came into our room without warning while we were still inside, and there was no locking mechanism. Breakfast was unacceptable: by the second morning, the bread, cheese, and eggs seemed to be from the day before, and the dishes weren't properly clean. The elevator was broken all weekend, with no apparent effort to get it fixed quickly. For two nights in a row, loud, unruly guests kept laughing, talking, and running around at 3 a.m. for hours, leaving us unable to sleep. When we complained, staff only offered to cancel the remaining night. They made no real effort to resolve it or move us farther away, and gave no compensation. The hotel may not control other guests, but it is responsible for how it cares for its customers, and this was entirely unacceptable. Staff spoke barely any English or German and couldn't communicate properly when we made our complaints. We can't recommend this accommodation.
