Stefan made us feel very welcome and was a helpful host, and the rest of the staff were top notch too. We had a delicious breakfast and a great dinner at the restaurant. The rooms were very comfortable, the sauna was a lovely bonus, and the views from Hotel Elmer are amazing. Hotel Elmer is wonderful, and I hope to come back soon.
The place felt stylish, cozy and comfortable, and I had a pleasant stay. The sauna was a nice extra. The owner was there when I checked in and out, and even came by at breakfast to ask whether everything was okay.
The staff were warm and really helpful, and breakfast was delicious. The homemade apricot jam was so good. There’s also an amazing sauna on the top floor with views of the surrounding peaks. What a lovely hotel. I can’t wait to come back, highly recommended!
The Siedfleisch Salat with cheese was delicious, and I really liked that the salad counted as a proper meal. The service was quick and friendly too. I’d tell hikers on the Via Alpina to stop here for a cold drink, a good lunch, and a chance to take in the view after their walk. From the front door, I hadn’t guessed there’d be such an amazing terrace out back. Switzerland has a way of making you feel humble, especially when a simple lunch comes with a view like that.
I wasn’t staying at the hotel, but the front desk gentleman made a great impression when I stopped by on the afternoon of Sunday August 18, 2024. He answered my questions about the Via Alpina Trail, translated the dinner menu, and mentioned dinner didn’t start until after 6 pm. Thanks for being so attentive. The location also works well for hikers setting off early for Linthal. If that service reflects the hotel as a whole, I’d have no hesitation staying there next time I’m in Elm. Thank you!
