The food was amazing, the best I’ve eaten in this village. The people serving us were welcoming and took care of every guest’s needs, and the views from the location were fantastic. One thing I’d change: the room needs darker curtains, since too much morning light comes in for anyone hoping to sleep later. The carpet is also quite old and dirty.

The people here are kind, helpful, and professional, and the place itself is beautiful. The food was out of this world. My wife had fresh trout from the lake next to the hotel and restaurant, and I’d say you should try the ravioli. Our room had a stunning balcony view. Salome, the owner, was wonderful and even made us a meal outside kitchen hours. I can’t recommend this place enough.

We came for a late lunch after our walk and were glad the kitchen was still open. The waitress was very friendly, and everything else we ate was nice. My only complaint is that the rösti was a bit too oily. The setting above the village by the small lake was lovely, quiet, and peaceful.

Zum See is easy to reach by a hiking path. It’s a pretty little lake, and sitting on the terrace in the summer breeze is lovely. The restaurant has terrace seating, a decent hugo spritz, and a cremeschnitte that’s definitely worth trying. The staff are very nice and friendly.
