The apartment was comfortable, clean, and very cozy. The views of Eiger mountain were awesome. We'll definitely come back.

I was lucky enough to spot skydivers landing in the distant grassy area, and could see trains far away too. The train station is very close. The hotel service was excellent, thank you! ❤️❤️❤️👍 I stayed four nights on my April trip to Switzerland. The room was spacious, had comfortable, beautiful views, and made it easy to explore town. There were plenty of cooking utensils, even a speed cooker! 🤩😊

The location is very convenient, just a minute from Grindelwald Station. Check-in and check-out are through the Derby Hotel. I heard the first-floor rooms are quite small, while the second-floor rooms are fairly spacious but don't have a terrace. They email before and after check-in and check-out, though I didn't feel they gave much practical information for the stay. Here's what I learned by asking at the Derby Hotel: There are no laundry facilities in the room. I used the coin laundry at the nearby Jungfrau Lodge Hotel. The Derby Hotel also offers laundry service, but I skipped it because the price list seemed quite expensive. For rubbish, I was told to request room cleaning, which likely costs money, or leave it in the room. During my seven days there, it built up and was inconvenient. At check-in, they provide two large towels, two small towels, and a bath mat, but you have to wash them yourself. I asked about replacements and was told they cost 20 francs, which felt expensive. The sink seems to drain fine, but dripping sounds continue long after the water is used, enough to disturb sleep. Water noise from my own room was tolerable, but I could also hear it from the neighboring room after they had finished using the water.

The room was warm, and having a nearby Coop made it easy to buy groceries and cook. It was also close to the train station and the mountain terminal for the Jungfrau gondola.
