Hotel Restaurant Bellevue-Pinte

We didn't stay at the hotel, but ate at the restaurant twice. The staff were fabulously friendly, the traditional Swiss food was good, and the atmosphere was lovely. Good value too. Highly recommended.

The late check-out gave us time for a quick two-hour hike in the morning, a chance to freshen up, and a 1 pm departure. It made a real difference to our stay on 11-12 August. Pedro made things especially memorable. He welcomed us, helped unload our car, carefully stacked our four suitcases and hiking gear, then brought it all to our room and placed even our hiking boots thoughtfully. When we left, he greeted us again and moved our luggage to the car without being asked. His initiative and professionalism were outstanding. The front desk was kind and efficient, and the restaurant and bar team knew a lot about wines and where their products came from. From check-in to check-out, this was one of the best hotel experiences we've had in Switzerland. Thank you for making our time in Grindelwald special. We look forward to returning and seeing more of the region. See you again soon!

The rooms were nice, but the service was the worst I've experienced in quite a while. Check-in took a long time, there was no personal service, and there were several misunderstandings and mix-ups about collecting us from the station. The manager at the main hotel wasn't helpful or apologetic. It wasn't the prompt, timely Swiss service I expected. At Pinte, the coffee area on the landing was out of both cups and coffee for two days. For the price we paid, the whole experience was very disappointing. If you only need a room for the night, this is your place.

The bed was hard as rocks, and thin walls let us hear people talking next door all night, so we barely slept. There was no coffee or tea in the room, and getting around the place was difficult. The customer service was nonexistent. It was massively overpriced and I wouldn't call it a hotel. We regret wasting the night and the money.
