I felt more like I was staying in someone's home than in a hostel. This traditional Swiss b & b was a little slice of heaven, with kind hosts, a perfect location, and an outstanding breakfast. It's only a seven-minute walk to the train, even with rolling suitcases. The hosts helped me choose a hike and decide where to eat, and even shared a small birthday treat with me. Excellent value for money. I can't wait to come back.

The place is quiet and clean, and you can tell the owners take pride in keeping it tidy. My room had a great mountain view. Breakfast was standard compared with other places, but the breads and pastries were fantastic. Franzi chatted with guests while keeping the food topped up. It's away from the main road and about a leisurely 10-minute walk from the train station. There's no lift, so make sure you can carry your luggage up the stairs. Follow the owners' rules and you'll enjoy your stay.

That breakfast is still on my mind. Each morning we were served fresh, home-cooked food with so much care, especially the muesli, which kept us going through long hikes. The owner even shared her recipe, and now that we're back in the US we make it ourselves. My wife and I spent three nights here in June 2025, and our room was cleaned and tidied every day. The family-run feel made the place homely, and the views over the mountains and valleys were beautiful. If you're visiting Grindelwald, I highly recommend staying here. I wish I could give it more than five stars.

The room had a wonderful view, and the breakfast was excellent too. We stayed five days from August 3rd in a triple room with a balcony. We had a lovely time and hope to return to Grindelwald. When we do, we'll choose this place again. Wishing you continued good health, and thank you for a wonderful stay.

Breakfast was excellent, and the people were so welcoming, kind, and helpful. The rooms are tidy, warm, and quaint, with that classic Swiss homely feel. A lovely place to stay if you're visiting the area or heading to the slopes.
