The slow service made the visit to Löwen Grosshöchstetten frustrating. It took a long time before anyone took my order, and the food took even longer to arrive. I know good cooking takes time, but this felt excessive. I ordered the Fitness Plate, with “Tender Horse Sirloin” as the main item. The meat wasn’t cooked the way I wanted, and the quality didn’t live up to the menu description. The meal was a letdown, and the delays only added to the disappointment. I do appreciate the effort involved in running a restaurant, and I think constructive feedback can help a place improve. I left disappointed and hope the restaurant can make the overall dining experience better.

The chicken was incredible, and the Family and service were even better. The beef was cooked just right, tender but not raw. Fresh salad and delicious fruit too. 6 stars.

We felt welcome straight away, even though we don’t speak German. Our hosts spoke with us in English and even recommended a restaurant in another town we were visiting. The food was excellent, the wine selection was good, and the price felt fair. They don’t take cards, but there’s a bank automat across the road. A very enjoyable visit.

There’s a small patio and a cozy interior at this easy-to-find spot on the main intersection. The staff are friendly, service is quick, and portions and prices are reasonable. They offer three daily menu choices, including vegetarian options.
