The Alpina Gstaad

We visited at Christmas, the busiest time of year, and I was really happy with the atmosphere, the food, and especially the staff. They were genuinely kind and friendly, and would do anything they could to make guests happy. Ricardo the bar manager, Pauline and Mia at reception, and the rest of the team all stood out. I’d be very happy to come back.

Those furry slippers were a hit with us! The hotel also has a warm feel, a beautiful spa, a delicious breakfast, and great staff. Best hotel in Gstaad.

The kids club was wonderful and well equipped, though I think its 11 opening time and 9pm closing time are late for the children it serves. In my opinion, 9.30-7pm would be better. Angela was kind and caring, and did a fantastic job with kids of all ages. There’s also a clean, safe playground and a cinema room you can book. The place is child friendly, but designed around adults’ enjoyment, too. The spa and facilities are lovely for a romantic, relaxing stay. The hotel has magical views and a great location, plus a shuttle that will drop you off and pick you up in town. It can fit a buggy without having to fold it down. The staff are helpful, friendly, and enjoy their work. They really can’t do enough for you. Every meal was delicious, especially the lobster at the buffet BBQ and the dim sum at breakfast, which I sadly waited until near the end of our visit to try. The beds were very comfortable even with my bad back, and the rooms had everything we could want. I’ve never had better hotel slippers. They made it feel like home. I’d live here if I could, that’s how good it is.
