The location is the one thing this hotel has going for it. For €330 a night, what you get feels nowhere near the price. It’s a very basic 3-star place: tiny bathroom, simple furniture, a tiny 20-year-old TV, and a ski room that smells. Breakfast was extremely poor. The pastries were low quality, the supermarket toast bread was still in its plastic, there were no vegetables or proper fruit, the bottled juice was cheap instead of fresh orange juice, and the coffee had no taste. There’s a fantastic bakery next door with excellent croissants, so I bought breakfast there instead of eating the hotel’s supermarket-quality food. Everything gave me the impression of maximum prices for minimum effort from the owners.

We hated every minute, mostly because of how condescendingly we were treated. For the money, it was horrible, and I’ve never felt so unwelcome. The rooms were clean and the city-centre location was great, but they were dated and only basically equipped. The staff, apart from the cleaners, were extremely unfriendly and seemed untrained. Changing towels cost 30CHF, check-in closed at 4pm, and the bathroom fan was VERY loud and didn’t work.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they took good care of our 10 month old baby. We liked the restaurant, which is one of the good ones in the area, and the breakfast menu was decent for the area. It’s right in the centre, close to all the good restaurants. There’s free parking on site for 4 vehicles, and public transport is within walking distance. A very well deserved 5 stars.

Lunch here used to be one of my favorite experiences. I’ve been many times, and before our last visit the food was delicious, the staff friendly, the prices reasonable, and everything very clean. But on 12/28/25 it was horrible. We ordered fondue and fish and chips. The potatoes were frozen, the bread wasn’t fresh, and it took an hour for the food to arrive. What a disappointment. Something seems to have happened to the quality of the place, which has gone downhill.
