Hostel C'est la Vie

The games room kept the kids entertained, and the ski lift is very close. We stayed in the large suite as two families and had a great time at the hotel and in the area. It was clean, friendly and spacious, with the well-equipped kitchen we needed. It’s a good-value option for larger groups or families exploring the outdoors. We’d certainly come back.

The owners are lovely and very helpful, and you can tell they enjoy what they do. The mountain view is splendid, like a postcard. It’s a great place for families or friends looking for a good campsite for hiking in the mountains. I strongly recommend it.

The rooms were comfortable, and the location and view are lovely. The trouble was finding hot water. I couldn’t tell whether it was only switched on at certain times, so it would help to say when it’s available, or leave it on as much as possible. Apart from that, I’d recommend it!

The rooms are simple, but clean and tidy, with good showers and comfortable mattresses. There was enough space for the baby bed for our one-year-old, which the hostel provided. We were really happy to find C'est la Vie Hasliberg, especially for the great value, since Switzerland can be expensive. Breakfast was the highlight: eggs, yoghurt, muesli, croissants, kaiser rolls, waffles and more. Chef Vlad did an amazing job. Johan & Artina were friendly and attentive, and the backroom staff were very kind too. Definitely recommend it. For a hike with younger children, check out the Kugelbahn!
