The view is stunning, but the food really let us down. It was bland and tasted as if it had come from a bag and been quickly sautéed. Even the vegan option was fried in animal fat, so it was inedible and not suitable for vegans. I wouldn’t recommend eating here if you’re after a good meal.

The food was very good, but waiting that long was unacceptable. We ordered at 12:05pm and didn’t get our meal until 13:16, while everyone else had already been served. I’ve since read other reviews and it seems we weren’t the only ones. Such a disappointment.

If you’re traveling light, this place is warm and welcoming, with exceptional food and a beautiful view. But arriving by train without renting a car was difficult for us. There’s no pickup service, so we had to haul our heavy luggage up a steep hill.

We had dinner here twice and enjoyed the good food and wine selection. The service was excellent. We’ll be back.

The hosts were so kind, easily the nicest people we met in Switzerland. We found the hotel easily and there was parking available. Dinner and breakfast both came with beautiful views. We could walk down to the lake and grocery store, though getting back up to the hotel was a bit of a climb.
