Anstatthotel Ch Horw

The bed was the one part I liked less: the mattress was thin, and the cotton cover wasn’t very soft. The rest was clean and in really nice condition, including the shower cabin, shower head, and toilet. The small kitchen had everything we needed, and there was welcome coffee when we arrived. The electric metal blackout shutter on the window was practical and easy to operate. All the technical features worked well, and using my phone’s NFC to open the front door was especially handy. From the shared balcony there was a lovely view, including Pilatus.

Being right by a bus stop was a real plus, and the room was clean and looked like the booking photos. For a short stay, it was fine. The bathroom door wasn’t a full door, though, and the room got very hot without any AC. We could open the large balcony door, but our room was next to a fire station, so the noise made it hard to sleep.

The rooms are spacious, clean, and in a good location. A few changes would make the stay much better: the toilet needs a full, sealed door that locks, and glass doors around the bathing area. An AC option would help too. It would also be nice to have a bit more personal touch.

The location is perfect, right by the bus stop, and customer support was very good. But the bathroom lights are motion activated and stay on for 15 minutes. They even came on when someone coughed or sneezed in bed, which kept waking me up at night. Also, there’s a shelf directly over the bed that could hit someone on the head.
