The lakefront view was gorgeous, and the room had a modern bathroom with a big bathtub. They provided tea and a kettle, and the staff let us check in an hour early. It’s close to the train station and everything we needed. I’d definitely stay here again.

It’s a nice place right by Interlaken OST station, but our request for something to take along before an early departure was disappointing. We had paid for breakfast and needed to leave at 6:30 a.m. for Jungfrau, before the 7 a.m. breakfast start, so we asked for bread or fruit for just that one morning. The chef and reception person said nothing would be ready before 7. It was surprising to see the breakfast was already prepared and the chef only really cooked boiled eggs. They could easily have given us a croissant or some fruit.

The hotel is quiet, and the lake is close by with a really amazing view. The location is the best part. Service was just okay, and the food was okay too, nothing special.

Clean, traditional hotel in a great spot, very near Interlaken Ost train station.

The peaceful atmosphere and view alone would make me happy to return to Hotel Du Lac. It’s also close to public transport, a good base for exploring the region, and the location is unbeatable. The room and balcony were on the small side, so it may not suit anyone wanting lots of space. The hotel felt more like a 3-star place in room size and overall design, but I still had a very good experience. Breakfast was simple and fresh, mostly cheese, some fruit, and bread, enough for a light start to the day.
