Hotel Bernerhof

I spent three weeks here while attending a course, and every day of the stay was great. The rooms felt very new and were kept spotless. The whole team was so friendly, and I’m grateful to everyone at the hotel BERNERHOF. It’s right in central Interlaken, close to the train station, so getting around the area is easy.

We got a local bus day pass, some souvenir discounts, and free coffee and drinking water refills. Breakfast was good too, especially the brilliant croissants, and the train station is very close. We arrived around 11 AM and were allowed to check in early because our room was ready. The morning receptionist, a man with glasses, was especially welcoming and made us feel comfortable. The outside may be misleading, but our room was clean and really nice, with a beautiful mountain view. A very smooth, pleasant stay, and I’d recommend it.

Traffic from the street was the one drawback. With the window or balcony door shut, it was fine, but the room felt a bit hot and we wanted to leave the door open. The reception team was great when we arrived and explained how to get around. The train station is only a few steps away, and there are good restaurants within walking distance. It made a good base for visiting other areas, and I’d definitely stay again.

The location is hard to beat, just steps from Interlaken West station, shops, and restaurants. We also enjoyed the rooftop views and the balcony overlooking town and the mountains. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and more spacious than we expected for a three-star hotel. Lots of windows opened for fresh air, and the shower had strong water pressure. The building looks a little dated from outside, but that didn’t bother us. The receptionist was incredibly kind and even made us breakfast the night before our early flight. There’s an espresso machine in the lobby you can use anytime.
