The setting around Kandersteg is breathtaking, with wonderful walking routes nearby, and Oeschinensee was a real highlight for us, a natural gem. We can't wait to come back. Our four nights here were lovely. After hiking, we especially enjoyed the pool and sauna, and breakfast had a generous, very good selection. The spacious lounge and restaurant felt warm and relaxing. Our chalet-style room was charming, cozy, and authentic. The staff added a lot to our stay with their warmth and attentiveness. Christine and Endrit at reception, along with Ercole and Vincenzo in the restaurant, were especially kind and professional. Geneva

We'd happily stay here again. The owner was welcoming and kind, and we really enjoyed the delicious food at the restaurant and bar downstairs. The room was spacious, clean, well cared for, and had a nice view. The hotel is close to the ski resort and just a short walk from the station.

We had a relaxing time in the private sauna and swimming pool. The place has a romantic, peaceful feel, and the management, concierge, bar service, and housekeeper were all friendly. We loved our stay and plan to come back, hoping some changes will be made. I nearly gave it five stars, but the bathroom and the lack of sauna signage held it back. Be sure to try Restaurant Ritter inside the hotel ❤️

The room was chilly during our late September visit, and the radiator took a while to warm it up. We didn't feel bothered enough to tell the staff, and the bathroom's electric radiator heated quickly instead. The bathroom itself was clean, cozy, and very well equipped. There was plenty of reasonably priced parking nearby. Breakfast was a real strength, with fresh bread, lots of hot drinks, the usual continental options, and eggs you could boil yourself. You can also pay extra to take additional food away as a packed lunch. The dining room is spacious, with nearby casual seating where you can wait for other guests. A great hotel base for exploring the area.

The breakfast buffet was superb, and the restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent too. We found the rooms comfortable, clean, and fairly spacious. The staff were so kind and helpful. A wonderful hotel, highly recommended.
