Berg & Berg

The restaurant staff were lovely, and breakfast was honestly among the best we’ve had at a hotel. Our room was modern, nicely designed, clean and warm, with everything we needed, including an iron, toiletries, and Rituals products in the bathroom. Check-in was very convenient. Just make sure you park behind the building, not out front. No one told us, but a woman from the restaurant explained it.

The church across the road rings its bells pretty often, though it didn’t spoil our stay. We found the room spacious, clean and modern, and very comfortable. Self check-in seemed a little unusual at first, but was easy to use. We had a pleasant time at Berg and Berg Hotel in Switzerland, and thought it was good value. We’d gladly recommend it.

The bathroom was beautiful and very clean, and the Japanese-style toilet was perfect. The shower had nowhere to put soap, a sponge or conditioner, though. In the standard room, we had almost no space for our bags, even though parking is usually available for free. The bed was comfortable and the linens were super clean and soft. There was a Nespresso Vertuo machine with two capsules, but they weren’t replaced after the first day, and the cups and glasses weren’t cleaned during our three-day stay. The lighting was either full brightness or complete darkness, with no in-between. Check-in is self-service.

Easy access to the highway, Interlaken, Lucerne and Zurich, but the hotel is tucked into a charming Swiss village. A lovely spot if you’re hoping to get a feel for Swiss life. We had an amazing stay at Berg & Berg, and Zaman from the Down Restaurant & Bar and Lorena helped make it such a happy, memorable one.
