Hotel Restaurant Seehof

I brought a guest here for coffee. The location is beautiful, but the lady serving us was a bit rude, and the whole interaction felt really strange. Maybe the staff were tired. At places like this in Switzerland, you have to know they’re the only lakeside spot with a nice atmosphere, and they know it.

We came as a group of nine. The food tasted good, though it was a bit overpriced. Service was better than what recent reviews suggest, but there’s still room to improve. The dessert, fruit with one scoop of ice cream, didn’t taste very fresh.

We had the veal spare ribs, which were tasty and plentiful, with fries that went nicely with parmesan and truffle mayo. I even had to share with my partners because I was full, which is unusual for me at a restaurant. The menu included soup, salad, and a main dish. The restaurant sits right by Luzern lake, and trees give the terrace plenty of shade. The service was attentive and kind.

I come here pretty often, but this time the food wasn’t very good either. The women serving us were awful, really unfriendly, even though we weren’t asking for anything. They just tossed the coffee in the middle of the table and dropped the plates down like we were bothering them.
