The wellness area was wonderful, and the massage I had there was absolutely amazing. Everyone working there was incredibly friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was a basic, traditional Swiss one. It’s a great location and very comfortable, just right for a weekend in Laax. I’d definitely stay again.

The bar and other facilities were really nice, and the terrace is a lovely place to catch the late-day sun with its beautiful mountain view. The rooms could use a bit of updating, though. The shower makes a terrible noise, like driving on the highway with the windows open.

We live at Rocks Resort and only came here to use the spa. The facilities were clean and pleasant, and the pool was surprisingly fun for our children, who are 10 and 12. I think its current could be dangerous for younger children. My boys swim well but sometimes struggled to get across it. After the pool, I went to the sauna for ten minutes. There were four men there, all wearing towels, as is common in Switzerland. I felt more comfortable in my swimsuit and lay on the sauna towel, minding my own business. A few minutes after one man left, the male supervisor came in and told me the sauna was for nudity only, essentially telling me to leave or take off my clothes. I felt very uncomfortable and went back to the pool. I was horrified to be treated that way as a woman alone with four men in the area. The sauna sign only says guests must be over 16; it says nothing about clothing, and nobody warned us when we paid for the spa. The changing and shower area is also unisex, with just one changing cubicle. It was busy, and a workman walked straight through while I was changing. I understand there are cultural differences, but at an international hotel I would expect guests to be told about these expectations and the unisex facilities beforehand.

We spent a week here with the kids during ski week, and it was really convenient and comfortable. The hotel is right in the middle of Laax, about a five-minute walk from the gondolas. Great place to stay.
