The pool, pool table, pinball machine and common area were a big part of what we loved. We had a wonderful weekend away, with perfect views and lovely hosts. I couldn’t recommend this place more.

We all enjoyed our meal. It’s cantina-style, so don’t come expecting a full sit-down restaurant, but the familiar Swiss roadside mountain food was cooked and presented really well, and the location is lovely.

There’s a timetable for one-way traffic on the route, so check in advance. The drive along the narrow road takes nerve, but the Swiss scenery is breathtaking, with farms, green meadows and livestock that feel straight out of a fairy tale. The restaurant is self-service, and there was only one person at the till.
