I couldn't stay here because makemytrip messed up our booking. They booked us at a different hotel with the same name but showed us photos and the address of this one. It seems like this happens regularly, since the desk staff immediately recognized the issue and helped sort it out. The woman was extremely hospitable and helpful. She called the other hotel to confirm things, gave us directions, and made us feel better by saying nice things about it. Always call to confirm when booking in case your travel agent has made a mistake. If you do come here, you're in for a treat. The hospitality is first class. This five-star review is for the woman who hosted us.

The relaxed, pleasant atmosphere and the service made our stay in Wengen. We felt well looked after the whole time and would happily return. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome. The reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the breakfast team were just as attentive and kind. A wonderful stay. Highly recommended!

We stopped in spontaneously for dinner. They asked if we had a reservation, and when we said no and found all the tables were occupied, they arranged a place for us at a table with a train theme. The food tasted great and was good quality, the prices were in line with nearby restaurants, and the atmosphere was nice. Our waitress was from the Alsace region, spoke German and French, and was very friendly. It's only a 3 or 4 minute walk from Lauterbrunnen bahnhof / railway station. No real complaints, though the bread with the fondue seemed a bit limited. We managed, but I don't know if they would have brought more.

I especially loved sitting on the balcony, looking at the hills and hearing goat bells from behind the hotel. The hotel is very close to the train station but still quiet. Our bed was comfortable, and the shower and bathtub felt luxurious. Beautiful hotel, highly recommended!

We had dinner at the restaurant twice, and it was delicious both times. The room was lovely and had a great view of the valley. Hotel Silberhorn is in a very convenient spot right beside the train station, bus station, and gondola station. We had a great time and highly recommend it.
