We liked it so much that we extended our stay from three nights to five and loved every moment. The room was cozy and clean, with a beautiful mountain view. The hotel is a little way from the center of Wengen, but it's in a nice, quiet spot.
Getting to the hotel takes a bit of a walk, but the beautiful view made it worthwhile. The room was very clean, and I'd 100% come back!
On sunny days the Eiger Monch and Jungfrau peaks look absolutely incredible from the property. You get views at the edge of both Wengen and the Jungfrau mountains, though the uphill walk to reach it is a bit of a daily hike. I'd gladly do it again. I just wish there were fans in the rooms to block the white noise, which would help light sleepers at times.
The peace and quiet here are lovely, especially with the Jungfrau views and sheep nearby. These have been my best stays on holiday in Swiss. Just be ready to walk uphill for at least 6 to 8 minutes to your lodging with your luggage. Taxis are available for a fee.
The balcony has a straight-on mountain view, among the best in the village, and there's a sitting area around the hotel. It's close to the train station, maybe a 5-minute walk. The room was a nice size, but the hotel is old, the bathroom average, and the floors and closet squeaked. There was a window in the bathroom, though. No fridge in the room, but there's one in a common area for everyone to use. The location and views make up for those small inconveniences. A good way to save on a hotel while still getting a great view.
