Hotel de la Lande

The only real plus for me was the free parking. The rooms all feel old and badly in need of renovation, and the three I saw were different sizes despite costing the same and supposedly being deluxe. There was nothing luxurious about them: no bath, just a power shower, and the kettle came with two tea bags and two instant coffee sticks for the whole stay, with no replacements. The beds are singles, so I wouldn't pick this for a romantic getaway. Food was average, though the bar was quite nice. Service was poor and only in French, so don't expect anyone who can speak English. Breakfast was extremely limited, with almost nothing to choose from and no option to have the kitchen prepare anything. Not even a boiled egg or another hot item. Check-in shuts at 10 p.m.; after that, there's no staff and no food or anything else. No amenities, no extra service.

The rooms were comfortable and clean, even if the hotel isn't the newest, and breakfast was very good. It's easy to find, with free parking, and the receptionist was really friendly and ready to help with whatever we needed. We also ate at the hotel's bar and restaurant. The food was tasty and the service very good, so we'd recommend giving it a try. We came to visit Le Sentier and will be back.

A smell in my room kept me awake for part of the night, and I left early the next morning. I was on my way from Frankfurt to Lyon and had stopped for a night hoping to enjoy some Swiss countryside. The drive was lovely, and the hotel was nice enough otherwise. The manager was pleasant, though checking out took quite a while. Free parking and a free “continental” breakfast were included. It didn't feel like a great fit for business, but if you enjoy “Le Sport,” it could work for a night or a week-end.

The rooms are spacious and tidy, done in a modern alpes style, and I slept well. Service was especially pleasant in the morning. The croissants were good and the cappuccino was OK, though breakfast felt a bit bare.
