The room was clean, the bed was good, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast came with great views, and everything was within walking distance. Still, the hotel quality didn't feel worth the price. We would have liked to know about roughly 40 extra per night for external parking, payment fees, and tourist tax. They required credit card pre-payment and charged 3% for card payments. The thermal access is described as included, but the sauna costs extra. If you only want the sauna, it is just 10 CHF more than the included rate. The thermal itself was so overcrowded that we chose another one and paid full price on top of the other costs. Dear Freddy, thank you for your reply. We paid CHF 14 extra per day for parking. Your parking is only CHF 5, but apparently it was full when we asked. Later, we met other guests who checked in after us and were allowed to park at your property for CHF 5 per night. We asked for parking more than once and would have appreciated being offered that option. Paying through a booking platform or in cash on site also seems cheaper, with no fees at other properties. We raised this in person too. We gave the hotel 3 stars, even though we weren't very happy, and mentioned the positive points at the start of our review. The overall experience still added up to less than we had at our other accommodations and resorts in Wallis, despite the high price. We thought it was fair to share what we would have liked to know beforehand. Each family or couple can decide whether the advertised thermal access suits them. We found it very, very full, and the sauna surcharge was higher than expected. Thanks again for hosting us. The breakfast was great and came with a lovely view. Guests also get free access to the thermal spas, and the hotel provides really good robes and towels. Our room was old but functional, with a comfortable bed. The lift made it easy to get around with a buggy, though for buggy access you need to enter from the top floor, which can be tricky to find at first. Someone may need to open the door, or one of you can go around to reception and let the other in. We had an initial disagreement because Expedia hadn't handled our booking correctly. I'm not sure whose fault that was, but the staff found us another, smaller room and gave us a suitable discount for the inconvenience. We were happy in the end. The staff were pretty friendly.

The room was comfortable and clean, and I enjoyed having breakfast and access to the therme included. It was excellent value for money, and I'd stay here again.

There's lots to do in this beautiful town, and the hotel was very nice. The staff and breakfast were great, and they made our vacation even better. We'll have memories from this trip for a lifetime.
