Astoria

My room was huge, clean, and perfectly okay, but it was old, and I don't understand the high ratings. The staff were only so-so friendly. At check-in I placed a complicated, itemized order for breakfast, but it had been forgotten by morning. They also forgot my tea again after I asked for it a second time. There are nicer places in town, and I didn't find anything special here.

The rooms are spacious and pristine, with a feel from another era. It's a friendly family-run place, just a three-minute walk from the therme, and the town is small enough that everything is close. Breakfast was tasty, and the staff seemed keen to help.

The underground parking and surprisingly good WiFi were a plus, and the family room had a lovely view. Its little kitchen was useful too: the fridge still got cold and the oven still heated up. The hotel looks like it was renovated a long time ago, maybe in the 90s. The radio, telephone, and fridge setup for the toilet paper roll weren't working. There could be more power sockets for charging devices. I liked the bar soap they provide instead of liquid hair and body products, haha. Breakfast was basic, with only the tea or coffee hot, though the croissants were good.

The staff provided excellent service, and the scenery is fabulous.
