Haus Marmotta

The balconies all have lovely south-facing views across town toward the main valley and the peaks beyond. To the right are the striking Gemmi / Daubenhorn cliffs. Even in winter the sun warms the balconies nicely until it disappears behind the mountains and the temperature falls. Each apartment is privately owned and rented out separately, so standards vary. Some may still be as they were when the building was constructed in 1974, while others have been refurbished and modernised. There's a large shared room for storing skis, sledges, and bikes. The Ringjet bus stop is 130m to the right, and the lift station for the Torrent ski area is 900m away, or two bus stops. When there's snow in the village, you can ski down to the lift from the next stop. Depending on conditions, you can ski down from Torrent on black or red runs to near the back of Marmotta, or finish by the bus stop. There is no reception, and you need a key to enter the building at any time. Get a contact number for your rental contact beforehand, and remember to take your key when you leave. A concierge lives on site, but he only speaks German, and there is no interphone or other way to reach him.
