Hotel Römerhof

Our waiter was kind and helpful. When it started raining, he let us move under the covered terrace, and we appreciated that a lot. The kids' pork schnitzel was fine, although we asked for rice and got fries. We didn't complain and still left a tip, mainly because the waiter had tried his best. We came for the grilled dishes, especially the half chicken with fries. We knew it would take over 30 minutes and were happy to wait, but the chicken arrived late, looked unappetizing, and was raw and bloody inside. The outside was soggy, more like boiled or steamed than grilled. It had some seasoning, but the texture and taste were off and not what you'd expect from grilled food. The staff seemed overwhelmed all evening, running around stressed and making the service feel chaotic. It looked like they were doing their best under pressure, and we felt sorry for them, but the meal was still unpleasant. I wouldn't recommend the place for grilled food. Maybe the pizza or pasta is better, but our experience, especially with the raw chicken, was very disappointing.

We had a really enjoyable meal. The food was delicious and came right on time, and the atmosphere was lovely. Every waiter was punctual, attentive, and genuinely kind. Highly recommend!

The live music was super, and the wild game dishes were amazing. With a lovely team, cozy atmosphere, and excellent wine, it feels like home. Absolutely recommend!

The owner or manager was a real highlight. On all three of my visits, he kept moving between tables to check that everyone was taken care of, and that personal attention made a big difference. The staff were friendly and professional too, and the food was delicious. We had pizza, steak, and spaghetti with steak and mushrooms. I’d happily go back and recommend it for the food and service.
