B&B villa sempreverde

Great.

The double bed was awkward to get into, with one side pushed against the wall and a wardrobe behind it. Mosquito nets would be useful too. Air conditioning isn't needed if the windows can be opened, but there are a lot of biting mosquitoes. The house is attractively decorated and stays reasonably cool despite having no air conditioning. Our friendly, creative hostess served a tasty, high-quality breakfast with delicious bread and coffee. The flower-filled garden has sculptures and a lovely lake view. A bus to the city center stops right outside, and parking near the door costs 3 CHF.

The bus stops directly outside the house, and Locarno is only 10 minutes away. The bed was really comfortable, with excellent pillows and a duvet. We were served a good breakfast made with regional products in the lovely garden. It felt like a holiday at your aunt's, so warm and welcoming. We'd love to return. Thanks for such a wonderful time.

We sent an inquiry through the HP in November 2023 for two rooms and got no reply. When we followed up, they said they were on vacation and would send an offer in January, which was fine with us. January came and went without an offer, so we asked again. This time we were told the B&B was fully booked for our dates. A few days later, by chance, we saw that several rooms still appeared to be available for that period. When we asked if there'd been a mistake, they said we should book through booking.com. We had contacted the B&B directly for a reason and didn't want to book that way. It seemed clear to us that we'd been lied to. Maybe they didn't want us because we'd asked for a toddler's cot, but we don't know the real reason. The whole experience felt very bad, dubious and unfriendly to guests. We can only advise others against asking about or booking a room here.
