The staff were so welcoming, and the room was very comfortable and fully equipped. It was also really clean, and breakfast was excellent, especially the fresh orange juice. The hotel sits in a quiet residential area right in the city center, close to the lake. Great value for money. We'd come back!

We paid less than CHF100 a night for one of the "Cinema" rooms, and the beds were very comfy. The room had plenty of space, and the staff were so friendly they made the stay a pleasure. For an economical hotel, it was a really nice surprise. It's very central too, about a 10min walk along the path from the train station. Breakfast was the letdown. I'd skip it and get a Coffee/Cappuccino from the bar's proper coffee machine, maybe with a croissant, then eat breakfast somewhere else.

The staff were polite and breakfast was fine, but the noise made this a rough stay. My husband and I were at IBIS Locarno for the Locarno–Ascona Half Marathon weekend (11-12 October), and our suite was just above a technical floor with a constant low hum. Then around 4 a.m., loud music from the next room woke us. I told the night administrator, but it wasn't properly sorted out. I got barely two hours of sleep before my race. The first floor really isn't suitable for light sleepers.

We had our own terrace, which was lovely, and there were fruits waiting for us with a welcome drink. The room was spacious and clean, and the bathroom came with more than I expected, including cotton disks and toothbrushes. Couldn't recommend it more!

Martina at the front desk made check-in easy and gave us great tips. She even went above and beyond later to help my parents find a local doctor. I can't thank her enough. Alessandro was welcoming too, the whole team is fantastic. :)
