We had a good breakfast, and the hostess was amazing. The balcony was nice too. The rooms are clean and cosy, with a simple, unfussy feel.

Breakfast was the real letdown: it was promised in the gîte offer, but wasn't provided. What a shame. The rooms and renovated barn are charming and romantic, though the duvets feel small if you're tall. Having the shower and toilet out on the terrace is tough in cold weather. This place must be much nicer in the warmer months.

The breakfast was a full 10 out of 10, absolutely excellent. The house and the whole family are wonderful, and we felt comfortable and at home from the first minute. The hosts have put so much care into the decor and atmosphere. We'd love to return.
