Hotel Beau Séjour Lucerne

The staff at Hotel Beau Sejour were a real pleasure throughout my three-night stay, always professional, attentive, and smiling. Breakfast was tasty, with plenty of options. The hotel is right across from the lake, with particularly lovely views. I can’t say enough positive things about this boutique hotel.

This place feels truly unique and a little provocative, with an artful mix of interior details and colors. The room and terrace had beautiful, peaceful views. There’s a full range of free tea and Nespresso coffee on the 1st floor, help yourself. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with tasty sourdough, a good cheese selection, eggs you can order in an interesting style, and cappuccino with vegan milk available. The ladies at reception were friendly and smiling, and merci pour tous les conseils 🙏🏻

The lake view was really good, and the location couldn’t be better. The service was lovely and the decoration was pretty nice. Just be aware there’s no access for disabled guests or heavy bags. The wood floor in the room also makes a lot of noise.

We had a spacious room with high ceilings and a small balcony over the water. The bathroom had been modernized, with a rainhead shower and glass enclosure, but no tub. Breakfast was a big spread: eight kinds of local cheese, local butter, meats, fruit, cereals and more. They also served a soft-cooked egg in a glass with chives, bacon, and cream cheese. The hotel has a charming boutique feel, with young, friendly staff who seemed happy to be there. There are fun little touches, like a stuffed monkey-like rag doll that lives in the room, with copies available to buy, and whimsical paper creatures in the dining area. Guests can use the coffee and tea station around the clock. It wasn’t right in the middle of everything, which we liked because it was quiet. The bus stop was half a block away, with service along the water to Old Town and the train station, just a few stops away, so sightseeing was easy.
