B5 Boutique Hotel Lugano

The price felt VERY reasonable for what we got, and the location was hard to beat, just 2 minutes from the train station in a quiet neighbourhood where you couldn't hear the trains. Breakfast was cosy and tasty, with a basic but complete selection of good quality sweet and savoury food. The espresso machine made real Italian coffee, better than what we found in local cafés. The water dispenser downstairs was another useful touch, with cold, hot, or sparkling water available day or night. Online check-in was convenient, and a very polite, friendly gentleman welcomed us and explained everything. The hotel is modern and interesting, with art throughout its beautifully arranged spaces and some old features from the previous building. Our lovely room had thoughtful details, atmospheric lighting, large comfortable beds, and everything we needed. We'll definitely be back :)

Digital check-in was simple, and being so close to the station made the location ideal. The hotel is gorgeous, with little art installations to spot throughout, even in the room. We loved staying here, and breakfast was delicious. Best coffee in Lugano 🥳

The location couldn't have worked better, a short walk to the city centre, the lake, and especially the train station. The design, architecture, interior details, and little gardens all felt carefully considered, while the hotel still had a lovely balance of style and comfort. Breakfast was excellent, and the croissants and bread made our mornings feel extra special. The value for money was outstanding. We had a truly wonderful stay and will be back.

Daniel had so many details and explanations to share, and there were little surprises and chuckles everywhere. I travel a lot for work, so I didn’t expect this place to be such a delightful, almost joyful surprise. It felt thoughtful and provocative, with the inside and outside somehow turned around. I missed the Hermann Hesse Museum, though. Go there.
