Centro Cadro Panoramica (closed)

I spent three months at Centro Panoramico in Cadro and loved it. The studio was very clean and comfortable, and the balcony view was stunning. Staff were friendly and quick to help whenever I needed something. I highly recommend the place and will stay there again when I'm back in Switzerland.

The view and location are incredible, and being close to Lugano is a real bonus. The facilities could do with an upgrade, especially the pool. I also wish dogs weren't allowed: some barked loudly, and one bit someone.

The crew at Centro Cadro Panoramica were polite and kind to us. We had a great time in this peaceful place, with a relaxing view over Lago di Lugano.

We stayed here for eight months and spent thousands, but the treatment we got at the end was miserable. The manager was rude and said she didn't care when I complained. Staff ignored our requests for help, and accused my elderly parents of having smelly garbage on their balcony, which wasn't true. They didn't cook there, they were only using it as a quiet place to sleep. When we asked for a bill for the money we wired and a contract each month, they wouldn't send one unless I insisted. Be careful if you're planning a longer stay. The infrastructure is very old and, as far as I could see, they aren't investing in it. From day one, the plumbing was blocked and they ignored our requests to fix it. A bedsheet had a hole, and when we asked for a replacement, nothing was done. The place was also extremely loud because events were held regularly. Parking was often full, and without a car it's too far from everything. We also had problems with neighbors. They came home at night, made a lot of noise, cooked fish on the balcony, and smoked. The smells came into our room. Someone in another room burned incense that smelled terrible. When someone went onto our balcony, broke our umbrella, and stole a pillow we'd brought, staff ignored it. The manager said I was making the facts up, though I have all the emails. The pool was closed until June, dirty, unprepared, and under construction. The table football was dirty, and the terrace and sunbeds hadn't been cleaned. Maybe they clean up for the main season in June and July, but this was our experience over eight months. Never again. The people here were rude and don't know how service should be.
